The North South Studio from Reykjavik, Iceland create a distinctive and unique chocolate packaging design for Omnom.
Omnom is new hand crafted chocolate brand founded by Óskar Þórðarson, Kjartan Gíslason, Karl Viggó Vigfússon, and André Úlfur Visage in 2012. Designer André Úlfur Visage of The North South Studio has created a chocolate packaging concept based on a simple plain folded A4 wrapper. On the basis of various sectional shapes it can be folded into the envelope boxes. André Úlfur Visage wanted to create a chocolate packaging design, which is as unique as the different flavors. His goal was to design something that would add value and functionality. In addition, the design should stand out from the range of known chocolates to attract the customers’ eyes.
André Úlfur Visage created an illustration for each flavor. The illustrations are inspired by different Icelandic influences. They include real as well as mythical characters and animals. Originally, the drawings were created for a personal project in 2009, and André Úlfur Visage re-visited them for the Omnom hand crafted chocolate packaging design.
